Datenschutzerklärung
Heldermann Verlag considers the protection of personal data important. Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data-protection law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This page transfers the substance of the publisher’s official privacy statement carrying this date and adds information about the rebuilt website’s current technical operation. It should be reviewed whenever the hosting or data processing changes.
The controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) GDPR is Prof. Dr. Norbert Heldermann, at the postal and email address given in the imprint above.
Personal data is used to operate and secure the website, publish scholarly material entrusted to the publisher, respond to correspondence, and administer contractual or pre-contractual requests such as subscriptions.
Processing
The publishing activity of Heldermann Verlag includes making information public on behalf of authors. Only information supplied for that publishing purpose is intended to be published.
When pages are requested, technical logs may contain the requested page, referrer URL, date and time, transferred data volume, IP address, and user agent. Processing serves the efficient and secure delivery of the website and is based on the publisher’s legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
If you contact the publisher by email or post, the information you provide is used to answer your request and any follow-up questions. Depending on the request, the basis is Article 6(1)(b), Article 6(1)(f), or, where requested, consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
The current deployment is delivered through Netlify’s hosting infrastructure, which may process technical connection data on behalf of the site operator. Netlify states that data may be processed outside the country of collection, including in the United States, and describes safeguards including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Read Netlify’s privacy statement and data-protection information. Visiting any other externally linked service is subject to that service’s own privacy information.
Information is disclosed to third parties only where permitted or required by law, including service providers acting on the publisher’s instructions. Data is deleted when it is no longer required for its purpose, unless statutory retention duties apply. Where deletion is not yet permitted, processing is restricted to the legally required purpose. The publisher’s official notice identifies retention periods of six years under § 257(1) of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and ten years under § 147(1) of the German Fiscal Code (AO) for the records covered by those provisions.
The website code supplied here does not include advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account registration, or an online contact form. It does not intentionally set analytics or marketing cookies. Contact is initiated through the visitor’s own email application.
Data-subject rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you may request:
Send privacy requests or objections to mail@heldermann.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority. The publisher may revise this policy when the law, the service, or the way data is processed changes.
